Prof. Andrew W. H. Ip, University of Saskatchewan, Canada

Prof. Andrew W. H. Ip received his PhD from Loughborough University (U.K.), MBA from Brunel University(U.K.), MSc in Industrial Engineering from Cranfield University (U.K.), and LLB (Hons) from the University of Wolverhampton (U.K.). Dr Ip was awarded in 2015 "Gold Medal with the Congratulations of Jury" and "Thailand Award for Best International Invention" in the 43rd International Exhibition of Geneva, and he was awarded the "Natural Science Award" in 2013 Ministry of Education Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards by the Ministry of Education of Mainland China. Dr. Ip is distinguished and visiting professor of various China mainland universities, and Honorary Industrial Fellow of the University of Warwick, Warwick Manufacturing Group. He is Professor Emeritus and adjunct professor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Saskatchewan and senior research fellow of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a chartered engineer, senior member of IEEE and member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and members of various professional bodies in mechanical and electrical engineering. He is Editor in Chief of the journal of Enterprise Information System (SCI index), Taylor &Francis; Founder & Editor in Chief of International Journal of Engineering Business Management (ESCI & SCOPUS index), SAGE; International journal of Software Science and Computational Intelligence, IGI Global.


Dr. George Ho, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, China

Ir Dr Ho To Sum, George holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he taught a diverse range of academic subjects with a focus on Decision Analytics, System Simulation, and Service Operations across both undergraduate and master’s programs. Since joining The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in 2018, he has been honored with the University’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2021 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to education.

As a Principal Investigator and Project Leader, Dr. Ho has successfully secured over HK$14.2 million in research funding across 14 projects. His leadership has driven fruitful collaborations with prominent commercial organizations such as PCCW, MTR Corporation Limited, Pok Oi Hospital, and Sino Parking Services Limited. Notably, three of his innovative research projects were awarded the prestigious Silver Award at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions consecutively in 2023, 2024, and 2025. He also holds 6 patents, underscoring his commitment to impactful innovation.

Dr. Ho's prolific research output includes over 180 publications in leading international journals and conferences. His work has been widely published in reputable journals such as Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, International Journal of Production Economics, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Production Research, and Expert Systems with Applications. More than 130 of his papers are indexed in SCI/SSCI databases, and his Scopus h-index, excluding self-citations, stands at an impressive 37. In recognition of his scholarly excellence, Dr. Ho was named among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2021. Additional recognitions include Top 0.5% scholar in the field of Expert Systems according to ScholarGPS in 2022 and Top 0.45% scholar across all fields as recognized by ScholarGPS in 2024.

His expertise and leadership extend to editorial and professional service roles, currently serving as Associate Editor for the “International Journal of Engineering Business Management” and the “International Journal of Software Science and Computational Intelligence”. He is also a member of the Editorial Review Board for the “International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing” and the “International Journal of Green Business”, and also the International Editorial Advisory Committee for the “Industrial Engineering and Management Journal”. Dr. Ho also serves as Vice-President of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (Hong Kong), reflecting his commitment to advancing the profession.


Dr. Valerie Tang, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, China

Dr Valerie Tang received her BEng and her PhD from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She then worked as the Postdoctoral Fellow in the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) for a few years and has experienced in handling FDS and ITF projects related to the field of Internet of Things, Robotic Process Automation and Logistics Management. Specially, her current research areas cover Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare Services Planning, Internet of Things, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. In addition, she was a part-time lecturer in in Hong Kong Community College and HSUHK and experienced in teaching industrial engineering, management science and operations and supply chain management related courses.
